Foxtailing on autos, where buds throw spiky new growth out of the top instead of swelling, is nearly always a heat or light stress signal rather than a genetic quirk. Canopy temperatures above thirty degrees under a strong LED will do it in late flower, and raising the fixture or adding an oscillating fan usually stops it within days.
