Creating Brand Connections Through Interactive Event

JFI Productions is the creative team behind Creep LA, an immersive horror anthology experience that has become a Halloween staple in Los Angeles since 2015.

Traditional marketing can introduce people to a brand, but live experiences can give audiences something they can actively participate in. Experiential marketing events use environments, storytelling, performance, and interaction to create a direct connection between an audience and a creative concept.

JFI Productions brings together theatrical production and immersive storytelling to build experiences that encourage audience participation. Its productions have included interactive environments, multisensory exhibits, live performers, and themed spaces where guests move through the story rather than simply observe it.

One example is Creep LA, which has used detailed environments, large creative spaces, and dozens of cast members to create immersive horror experiences in Los Angeles. JFI’s work with CBS Studios for Creep LA x Ghosts also combined a branded property with an original immersive experience, giving ticket holders an environment connected to the world of the television series.

The value of experiential marketing events comes from creating multiple points of engagement. A strong concept can use set design to establish the setting, sound and lighting to shape the atmosphere, and performers or interactive elements to encourage participation. These details can make the experience feel personal to each attendee.

Interactive experiences can also give brands a creative way to tell stories. Rather than delivering the same message to every person, an immersive format allows audiences to explore the environment and experience the concept from within.

For organizations planning experiential marketing events, thoughtful production is essential. Every creative element should contribute to the overall experience, from the first moment guests arrive to the final interaction.
